Questions & Answers

1.How can I request my rental deposit in full? 2. Can landlords apply fees not listed on the rental agreement?

Usually, when a tenant vacates a property, there is a pre-move inspection. This inspection documents all the damage a deduction would cause in the security deposit. If there is no pre-move inspection then the tenant must take numerous photos of the condition when they move out to avoid being charged for things that were not damaged during the lease. Good morning, If I have been the victim of discrimination in a room that I rent within a house that is rented to several people, how can I proceed?

Ivonne: It all depends on what happened, the facts. Not all actions are protected by discrimination law. There are protected classes like race, gender, sexual orientation, etc.
