Little intense, about 4.7 mile, first half of the trail is high elevation. First 1 Mike too around 25 mins. We liked the view on the top of the trail

Called Big Bend because it’s the big bend on Laguna Canyon Road. There are so many challenging hikes but Big Bend is one tough hike with 3 long steep hills. Never crowded so great place for isolated workout or photographing the landscape. The parking past Willow is the parking for Big Bend.

Probably the best difficult hike in the greater LA area that isn't in the mountains. For a good mile, you hit steep inclines that you'll feel in your buns and calves. It's unfortunate that the main parking for this hike doesn't open until 9 am, but it's usually cool enough to enjoy up until 11 or noon. You can also start earlier from the homes in Laguna proper.

Nice place for trail running or hiking. Clean facilities. Easy parking. There is minimal shade so bring sun protection and fluids is a must. Well kept paths and can be quite dusty with tiny rocks.
