I called in advance to make sure we could be seen in a reasonable time and was given an estimate wait time of 1-1.5 hours. So I drove 1.5 hours to get there. Arrived and was told that our wait time would be 45minutes. Waited 4 hours and was never seen. Upon asking what kind of wait time was remaining for my dog they just told me about all the other animals in more critical condition than my dog, I’m detail… but it was said with quite a bit of disdain, I guess to make me feel bad for asking. I even told them that I didn’t need to know the details of other animals… as that’s very sad… I just wanted some sort of expectation to work with. It was apparent that they were annoyed by me asking for updates and the staff was very rude, and just said that they couldn’t tell me an estimate. We were told to go elsewhere, after waiting 4 hours… I would rather have been told in advance that there is no way of knowing a wait time prior to showing up. It’s really strange to me that a business would set expectations to a customer/patient, not meet those expectations, and then get mad at the customer/patient when they ask additional questions… that to me is the poorest customer service possible. Unless your animal is in critical condition they cannot see you. My dog’s back was hurt and she was having difficulty/discomfort while walking, due to a bad fall while hiking. We are on vacation and this was the only option available.

Last Night we had to rush our dog to Midcoast Animal Emergency Hospital. We cannot thank them enough. They saved our dogs life. They were so kind and caring to our dog and to us. They explained everything to us. Thank you so much. Kacie, Justin and Charlie.

We had to drive 2 hours last night to unfortunately put our dog down. This is the first time I ever had to go through this experience and I couldn’t be more grateful for the kindness and understanding the staff showed us and our dog. I called before we arrived and they quickly got us in almost immediately upon arrival. I believe our tech was named Meredith and she was absolutely amazing. Thank you for everything ❤️

I cannot express gratitude enough for this veterinary hospital. We traveled an hour and a half to get here after our three local animal hospitals had 3+ hour waits. Our dog had a battle with a porcupine that was close to our house within 10 seconds of being let out. We were so worried about letting her sit with quills in her face and decided to make the trip. I'm so glad that we did. The man that we talked to on the phone was great and gave us very clear instructions. Hannah greeted us at our car within a couple of minutes and was able to go over what the plan would be to take out the quills. Hannah took her in and within 30 minutes we had her back with us. The staff were amazing, kind, and it was very clear to us that our girl was in great hands. So thankful for their care tonight!
