Just bought a new specialized E bike here today. I have been to RCB a few times so far and they are generally very helpful, and all the employees I have worked with were willing to go above and beyond for questions. For the bike purchase though I had the opportunity to work with Stu. I’ve been riding for more years than I care to count and I have honestly only met one or two bike shop employees in that entire time that are as knowledgeable, helpful, patient, and nice. Stu spent all the time needed to nake sure I understood every part of the bike and all the technical features. He made recommendations at the time of sale making sure I could take advantage of the 10% discount on parts at the time of purchase without me feeling like I was being upsold at all. The shop also had all the accessories I needed, and the mechanics got them installed so I could just go enjoy my new bike. Seriously, this was a fantastic experience and I will recommend River City Bicycles to anyone I know.

I was mid ride when my second hand bike suddenly stripped a pedal. We stopped into river city on a Sunday, and I was able to buy the parts and tools I needed on the spot and get my ride fixed, and back on the road. Very pleased with this old and reliable bike shop in East Portland. Huge thanks and we will be back.

I just bought a bike from River City. Not my 1st bike but my 1st bike from River City. The entire process of working with them was excellent. I shopped around at several shops and River City seemed to be that much better than the rest. I would highly recommend working with them. Worked with Hannah throughout the process, very professional individual. Timely response and accurate info!

Only my second experience at River City. Their professionalism and turnaround time was awesome. Given the current COVID concern, I was amazed they were able to install a new set of hydraulic brakes in just a couple of days. Tech was super friendly. COVID protections in place kept me out of the shop proper, but they have a groovy system for allowing you to continue to shop via their website with willing folks to run your selections outside to you. Will definitely be going back to this shop.
