We found this shop on the web and my bike’s brakes were seriously in need of attention. Alex was clear up front about needing extra time to get them done but we didn’t need the bike all week so that worked. Called them the day before to make sure it was done. We showed up and took the cover off our other bike and the rear tire was flat. We had just had it repaired at a non-Pedego shop. We brought the bike in and they replaced it on the spot. Alex was great and Braden could not have been more helpful. We loved Pedego Portland!

These bikes are amazing. We stopped by the Portland Pedego store a week ago and talked to Alex and Braden. Everything they told us about these bikes are true. The bikes are very well built and comfortable. I would recommend these bikes to ANYONE. We ended up buying an Element (which Braden built on the spot) and a Boomerang. Did I say very well built already? Do yourself a favor and check them out.

This is buy far the best experience I’ve had buying anything. Tommy was so incredibly informative and made the experience so pleasant. The bike I got is amazing. I wanted one off the floor (instant gratification) but the owner talked me into ordering the color I really wanted. I’m incredibly grateful for that. I couldn’t recommend this place more! If you have friends in town or are just looking to do something different I would highly recommend renting a bike for the day. I have taken for granted what a great bike city Portland is. If you haven’t ridden one of these bikes you should! I can’t say enough positive about this particular shop or the bikes.

Last July as I was passing through Portland, I stopped at the Pedego Portland store. I had heard about Pedego’s from some techs at a bike rental shop in California and thought I’d take a look at them. I was met by owner Tommy Connell and the real force behind the store: his dog Kona. Tommy started answering my questions and then said “Let’s get you on a bike”. He showed me the basic working of the Pedego, told me how to get to the bike path on the riverfront (two blocks away), and said “Give her a spin”. Dear God: overweight, out of shape, bad knee, 58 year old me was suddenly on a bike again enjoying myself like I hadn’t for years. The Step-thru Interceptor fit me like a glove. After an hour I figured I better take it back. I knew at that point I would get one, in spite of the fact these bikes are not cheap (though, no more than other e-bikes of the same caliber). Tommy worked with me to get the bike in the color I wanted and had it for me in time for an upcoming trip where I could do some riding. Since then, I have put over 1000 miles on the bike, in spite of five months in the garage because of the cold, wet north Washington winter. Both my daughters loved my bike so much they each bought one. Just last week I brought two of them in for tune-ups and Tommy took a great deal of time to do a thorough service and cleaning on both bikes at no charge – he gives the first tune up at no cost. It’s a 400 mile round trip for me to get to the Portland store (and I will confess that the original reason was no sales tax on a big purchase), but I enjoy working with Tommy. I’ve now been in about a dozen Pedego stores as I travel and I’ve not found a better, more competent owner than Tommy. If you have any interest in an e-bike (and I’ve found I love the bike friendliness of Portland), stop in and take a test ride. Just be prepared to get hooked.

Hi Avery, Thank you for your question. Yes, we provide bike locks for our bike rentals.
Likely a loose connection? Call Tommy at pedego Portland OR pedego cust service.
Probably not, call them.
Justin, ues there is. Tommy at Pedego Bikes Downtown Portland 412 SW 2nd Ave Portland Oregon. Tell him Tamela sent ya. Sorry to hear about your bike, Tommy will take care of ya.
I'm sure they can order you a battery if you want. They may be reluctant to sell you a battery and worong harness. Its gonna cost about half price of a bike anyway.
