My truck was at the end of a lease and I no longer needed a vehicle, but it was in excellent condition. Based on the value of a 2-year-old Toyota Tacoma, I felt that it might be worth something on resale but initially didn't want to go through the hassle of purchasing/reselling. However, the best offer that I could get from the original dealer was to pay them the $300 restocking fee, so I decided to check out CarMax. I started with the online quote, which was way more than I was expecting. As it turns out, the online quote was what they gave me, the process was extremely easy, and the people at CarMax were professional and nice. So...I ended my lease with a $7500 check instead of having to pay $300 to return it. I highly recommend that anyone check them out before getting rid of your vehicle.

We bought our car on one of the busiest days of the week to buy a car, (Saturday). Even though it was crazy busy inside the sales office, our sales representative made it a good experience for us. He took the extra time and made the extra efforts to complete our deal and get us out the door as soon as possible. I wish I remembered his name, because he was such a good person and an experienced sales person. Just an awesome person to deal with! He works in the Buena Park Car Max office, and I can't say enough good things to say about him.

Going to CarMax is one of the most pleasurable ways to shop for a car ever! This is my third experience shopping here and it is so easy it’s unbelievable! Everyone is super nice. There is no pressure and if you come pre approved and with your vehicle picked out you are in and out in a couple of hours. I will never purchase directly from a dealer again. My car is literally brand new with used car pricing. Sweet!

I told them what O cpuld put down and they worked with that amt. Your $ down affects your monthly payment.

I didn't do oil change here. I had oil change at dealer nearby. I had free oil change coupon when I bought it.

They have a " first time buyer" program but you have to have 20% of the car note as a down payment!

FYI, Carmax will not sell to someone who does Lyft or Uber if they know about it. I used to work there and that was the policy.

my experience with 2 of my cars there, they will offer you $1,500 less than the fair trade value, obviously they have to make some money also but you will be better off selling it personally and then buy another car from them or any of the dealership
Generally they only sell 5 years old or newer with less than 20 miles.
I sold my 1999 Suburban 1500 with Vortec engine, just like the Safari and Carmax actually has wholesalers who come there every few days for auctions on the lot. Carmax sells cars less than 5 years old, with less than 16k miles. They used to sell older cars.
