I had the same issue as one of the reviews here with one star. I paid the tax twice accidentally, I called them immediately, one of the ladies who answered the phone politely checked the payments and said the extra payment check will be mailed back to me, it may take about 4 weeks. The check arrived within 3 weeks. This happened to me last year. As I was reading the reviews I saw so many one star reviews, I thought I should put in my positive experiences with the county staff. Thank you

Where do I begin.... It really depends on who you get when you call here. A lot of the women that work here are very impatient, unhelpful or just plain rude. If you get the guys that work here they are actually the only ones that are polite, friendly and helpful. There seems to be a plague of these type of workers in the tax offices in California that don't appreciate their jobs or their customers. I'm only giving 1 star because the guys that work here are actually helpful.

I accidentally paid my property taxes twice and called to ask how to get my second one refunded. She was so condescending to me it was pathetic. Sorry to put more work on your table, but I made a mistake. I typically wouldn't bash someone on this, but in this case I had to. HORRIBLE customer service.

When I tried to add a tax payment in cart it doesn't show up. I then followed instruction to enable cookie but still didn't work. Sent email regarding this issue but was instructed to call the office. Once I connected with the office, the staff was very dismissive with the problems. I said could you check the confirmation number where there are all the screen shots to better demonstrate what the issue is but she dismissed it stating it was a third party handling the emails so she cant check. I briefly went over the problem verbally but she dismissed it saying "there's no issue with the system, it would be your end." Clearly she doesn't care, I told her I can add single payment for other parcels. Its just this one I cant add and she gets very frustrated and says "you will have to mail it, there's nothing wrong with the system." I didn't want to take it further so I told ok its fine Ill mail the check and she hung up before I can finish the sentence. Very rude and dismissive
