The positive: nice place with great options. The Negative: First off, don't hurt the manager's (Aaron) feelings. He obviously bit off more than he can chew. His employees are partial educated on the products. I purchased a Festool Track saw, pricey, but wait, i have to add the vacuum, but wait, the track might be separate too?? LOL, the employees dont know and 30 minutes lapses. After spending $1600 on this tool, and the next day so excited, oh wait, something is missing, the clamp that connects the track to the project for stability, an extra $47. I'm not mad about the price, I'm mad about the fact their staff aren't educated enough to upsale me. I now have to make the trip down there when all they had to do is listen to the customer... I don't know this till the next day.. Frustrated, I call the place, the person who helped me I find out isnt even the Festool rep they said they were (Parker), but now, once i have the manager on the phone, he does the best thing a manager can do to help his status, blame the customer for not knowing what came in what packages. Thank you Aaron, thank you Austin Hardood, I'll make sure I come in more prepared next time.

Great selection of different types of wood. As well as tools, stains, hardware, sandpaper and more. Went to scout for some wood and take a few pics to get my mom to decide on something. Saw so many more items I need to pick up once a wood is decided on. Awesome place.

Yes, they are open to the public. Great place to get all kinds of wood and other items. I've been a customer of these since 1986 All the employees are knowledgeable and very helpful.
Hello Mark, Thanks for your inquiry. Butternut is not a species we are stocking, but we CAN special order it from mills we deal with back east. The limitation is that we will be required to purchase full units -- meaning a few hundred or even a thousand board feet at a time. If you are interested in a that kind of quantity, please give us a call and we will see what is available.
Hello Jose, sorry we don't have any distressed Walnut flooring in stock at this time. Whatever we may have had in the past was most likely reclaimed, so there is no longer a source for it.
Hello Joe, thanks for your inquiry. In 5/4 Hard Maple we only have plain sawn material available, no quartersawn. Our 5/4 stock is surfaced 2 sides to 1" net thickness and straight-line ripped on one edge.

Hi Dan, Yes, we do have Padauk in stock. We have 4/4 stock (S2S at 13/16" thick) and 8/4 stock (S2S at 1-3/4" thick). Both thicknesses are random widths and lengths.

Hello William, YES, we do offer a blade sharpening service! The sharpener comes to our store every Monday and Thursday to pick-up and drop off. Service sharpens saw blades, router bits, chisels, etc.
Hello Jay, We don't have anything currently available that fits your description. In searching our hardware suppliers, nothing comes up using the description "toe latch." We do have several options for push-to-open magnetic catches for cabinet doors and some push-to-open drawer slides if that helps you at all.

Hello Tirso, our 3/4" x 4'x8' prefinished birch plywood is an import. We have it finished 2 sides for $55.53/sheet or finished one 1 side for $48.68/sheet. Note: prices can vary depending on the quantity you are buying, so it is best to call us for a quote. We do have prefinished maple plywood that is domestic, for a higher price.
Hello Iren, as others have already answered here, YES, Austin Hardwoods does carry a large selection of hinges. If it is a Euro style hinge, there are hundreds of possible combinations of hinges and mounting plates, so we will need to see them. If you haven't already been to our store, we recommend you bring the hinge and mounting plates (if any) to us, so we can get you a correct match.
Hello Arthur. Yes, we do stock 1/2" x 4' x 8' Cherry plywood. It is A-1 grade, Pro-core. Right now we have about 20 sheets on hand.
