We only got to see the outdoor air park portion. The aircraft are cool and unique. Definitely needs some upkeep with all the weeds in the asphalt.

Great small air museum! Has a very nice Tuskegee memorial and a Vietnam era cruise missile! The outdoor displays are well done too.

Great place to learn history of Travis AFB and US military history. Great collection of planes

Nice small collection. Both indoor and outdoor pieces. Some interactive areas for kids of all ages, ie, cockpits. A small gift shop. Friendly staff. The website needs updating, though. It states that you go through gate upon showing ID and vehicle registration to security. I had to go to Visitors Center, have USAF security inspect ID and get a temp pass. Then a vehicle was sent to pick me up and deliver me to Heritage Museum. Then, upon visit completion, returned me to Visitors Center. Not an issue, but was not aware of change until instructed at another gate.

I was impressed by the actual size of the 2 nuclear devices dropped on Japan. The place is very clean and well thought out.
Yes. You need to go to the visitor center first - it's by one of entrances They will do a quick background check on you, and then someone will come to pick you up and drive you into the museum area
It's free but they have a donation box set near the door if you're interested in helping out.
