This park is located in the city hall area of Chesapeake. The entryway is nestled in the rear of the zone of buildings. There is ample parking with a small outdoor work out space. There is a paved trail that turns gravel the walks past a small pond. The trail winds in an open space that includes moderate elevation with smooth trails that is accessible by foot and bike. This may not be suited for someone in a wheelchair unless with high terrain wheels. There is not a lot to look at except the wooded areas and a small marsh area nearby. The only other setback is that route walking behind a city jail and if you don't mind inmates yelling and hollering then you'll be fine. Otherwise, a nice simple trail best suited on a cool day to hike.

Nice simple park. Not a lot here except nature. Large open areas.

DOG OWNERS PLEASE READ!! Decent 1 loop trails... nice views. **UPDATE: DOG with seresto has horrible inflammation all over her body! PLEASE BE CAREFUL DURING SUMMER. Not sure what it is ...spring was ok, but steer clear in summer!**

Pretty good place to run or have a nice quiet secluded walk/lunch but still remain in the heart of great bridge! I go to run often. There is a XC path that snakes and meanders through the park, some variance in elevation but wide open. The ground can get a little saturated after it rains and it’s right on the bank of the Elizabeth so it can have standing wanted on occasion. Recently got a facelift with new parking lot entrance and ramp to the field. ...don’t get confused there is no playground here it’s just an open field.

Not shaded at all. If you go expect full roast by the sun. I love the trail because not many people go there.
