2nd visit to this restaurant. First visit, the food was mediocre, at best. Decided to give them another chance since we live in the area. Big mistake!! Waitress was pleasant and provided good service. No problem with her. We both ordered the grilled salmon, salad and a side. Husband had soup, I had veggies. The salads appeared to have been made a day or so earlier. The soup had potatoes that were undercooked and he ate about half. My veggies were cooked nearly into mush and I couldn’t eat them. The salmon takes second place on the “worst salmon we’ve ever had” list!!! It was DRY, it was BURNED- yes really burned black on top. We needed water just to swallow it! Goodbye Shades Cafe!! 🤮

Had a great lunch today with my wife. She had a Greek Salad and I had a Reuben Sandwich and Sweet Potato Casserole. The sandwich was great with thick cuts of corned beef and served hot. Excellent service and from placing the order to receiving it was about 15 minutes. Seemed like a long time but I was very hungry so not really. Well worth the wait.

100/10. Everything was absolutely perfect. The seating, the service, everything. The manager (and/or owner??) was absolutely amazing and treated us to a slice of cheesecake and talked with us a little bit about where we’re from. Our waiter, who was expecting soon was working very hard and running around like a chicken with her head cut off, but did it all with positivity and a smile on her face. If she sees this, I’d like to wish her congratulations on the baby! I will definitely be back to eat here with the hubby again! ❤️

Had an amazing meal this evening. Pork chop with garlic potatoes. My wife’s meal was a grilled chicken salad that she loved. Great service and not bad prices. This is her husbands post
