Perfect place for a relaxing getaway. Greeted by a helpful and friendly staff. The rooms were clean and well appointed -- including charcoal filtered water in the spa-like bathroom. The valet, a sweet young man who enthusiastically greeted us every time we interacted, is a tremendous asset to the hotel. Unfortunately, we did not get his name; but, he was helpful, friendly and offered a perfect first impression! Kudos to him for a job well done.

Hubs & I planned a getaway without our teen & booked online for another hotel in Helen, GA. I then read really bad reviews, quickly canceled & found Valhalla. Thankful we found Valhalla!! It saved our 1st adult trip in years! This was our favorite hotel (in the U.S.) where we have stayed. The staff was extremely attentive, they even leave a bag of complimentary cookies in your room when you check in. They have complimentary lemon water/coffee/tea cookies throughout the day in the lobby area. They have a valet, room service, a Sky Bar restaurant as well as the Caledonia restaurant for dinner. Someone from the hotel called me the day after we made reservations to tell me about an even they were having... a jazz musician, & 3-course meal & asked if we would like to attend. They told me the food choices & I didn’t eat either of those, so I declined. They called back & asked my food restrictions & said the chef would take care of me. He truly did! They went above & beyond. The food was delicious!! We ate breakfast through room service, which you indicate on a card, leaving it outside of the room on your door handle. You choose the time you want it delivered. Everything was perfect! We had lunch 1 day in the Sky Bar & the food was delicious. It is open air & the view is breathtaking! Everything we ate at the hotel was delicious and reasonably priced as well. Much better food here than in some of the restaurants we had on Main St. The best part of the trip was that it was SO relaxing. There are no children under the age of 14 allowed to stay in the hotel. They do have townhouses & bungalows where they are welcome, but they are not allowed to use the pool. It was absolutely perfect for our trip! We met 1 of the owners, the wife, & she was SO sweet & accommodating. We can’t wait to stay here again!! ❤️

If you want to experience what true southern hospitality feels like, this is the place to go. I recently visited Valhalla for a work trip and from the moment my team and I arrived, we were treated as though we were the only guests at the hotel. The views were beautiful, but the people made the place come to life! The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, and you can tell how much they love working there. If I could give Valhalla more than 5 stars, I would. Definitely worth a visit!

Our visit was a surprise to me. Hubby found it online, and I had no idea where we were going. It turned out to be a wonderful getaway. The service from every person there was beyond excellent. You could tell they enjoyed what they were doing, and everything they did was for the comfort and convenience of the patrons. They are pet-friendly, and loved on our little boy, Tyler Stud-Muffin. The food was fabulous at every meal. I scheduled a Swedish massage at their Solasta Spa. Cynthia was my massage therapist, and she was MAGIC! I hope we can return soon.

There was a mini fridge in our room. I'm not sure about the bungalows though
I'm honestly not sure if they have one
