Recently had to put down our dear sweet 16 year old lab/rottie mix that we adopted from Dana. Dana matched our family up perfectly with her when she was just a puppy and the experience couldn't have been better. And when it came time for her departure Dana and her team were so supportive. Would definitely consider adopting from her again.

This place and people who volunteer here are amazing, especially Dana! She is a saint and does so much to help all the puppies. Thank you Dana for all that you do! It’s extremely affordable and really feels amazing to adopt from ARRF. Don’t shop, adopt!

I had to euthanize my dog of over 10 years. The most compassionate people work there. Thank you for your service 💓🐕🦺

Difficult since there weren't anyone there to help as late as we went, but so nice to have a place to go 24/7. Hard to be ready for finding an animal that needs help, but gloves are recommended since you need to transfer the animals into the containers yourself.

Yes, when we have puppies we could use volunteers to socialize with them.
We do not have any available fosters currently. Many people are returning dogs they adopted or purchased during covid, so most shelters and rescues are full. Adoptapet.com has a rehomong page where you can list your dog for rehoming. I'm sorry we can't help you.
Sorry no Doberman Pinchers at this time. I believe that there is a Doberman Rescue called Aztec. At the time or of an adoption we do ask a small donation for all of our foster animals.
ARRF does not have a physical shelter. Our animals are in foster homes around the county. Please visit www.arrfsandiego.org for more information.
