We’ve lived at Aquatera for about 1 ½ months now and everything has been extremely pleasant! The leasing team is super friendly and helpful (special thanks to Maddie!) and the community is maintained very nicely! Maintenance has been top notch as well! I’m not quite sure why some people have left bad reviews - I obviously do not know the full extent of their concerns/ experiences, but the complaints left about the community that I’ve read so far are all things that you will encounter (and should expect) at any apartment complex and which are not anything out of the ordinary - in fact, this is actually the nicest community I’ve lived in, period - and it is also ‘inexpensive’, at least compared to other luxury apartment complexes that I’ve lived in to date. My only remark - personally - is that the kitchen appliances are a bit dated (mainly the dishwasher, which could be working better) but apart from that, everything has been great so far! ———- UPDATE: Upon posting my review, the leasing team must’ve taken prompt action (we randomly received a call from maintenance and were not expecting that at all!) and replaced our dishwasher with a brand new model the following day - without even contacting anyone personally. That’s just another indication that they actually care about the happiness of their renters, compared to so many other landlords and agencies. Thank you so much for everything again! 🥰

Me and boyfriend lived her for 2 years. All the rules and regulations posted all over the property are not being followed by other resident and management also. At the pool area you can’t have alcohol beverages but everyone that’s using the pool always bring alcohol. All three grills are not working properly. Management have a blind eye for people bringing alcohol inside the pool area. Also with guest parking it has a sign of 24 hour limit on parking. But most cars that parked in guest parking has been parked in same spot for ever three. It’s more than one vehicle it’s multiple vehicles. Management put a violation sticker on two cars but it’s not being tow after 4 days later. What’s the use of putting a sign if even management will not follow it.

I had been eyeing this property for months before I moved there in 2019, as I have always loved HG Fenton properties - they are so well-kept and FYI this is one of the most reputable and respected management companies in San Diego and any manager would LOVE to work for them. As a residential property manager myself, I know how unbelievably stressful and nearly impossible it is to try to accommodate everyone, especially when you are dealing with this many tenants (and a pandemic)! But over the 2 years I lived there, they were extremely communicative, responsive and kind. One of the managers even carried my huge coffee table up to my apartment when it was mistakenly delivered to the office (didn't even ask maintenance to help, he just did it!) Yes, Mission Valley in general is pricey, to complain about the price is ridiculous - it is San Diego, most of these buildings are brand new, and it is the amenities you pay for!! Washer/dryer, full gym, pool/spa, pet-friendly, free coffee, lounge, grocery store and shopping center a 2 min walk, and more.. I did have a very small deposit when I moved in (it was on special for like $300), so I was concerned about being nickel-and-dimed when I moved out especially since I was in a rush to move so it was not left perfect! But I still ended up getting a refund, and to me that speaks volumes about them as a management team. Thank you for an amazing 2 years! :) Cassie

Our experience living at Aquatera Apartment homes has been nothing short of spectacular! The leasing office staff, maintenance crew and upper management team have consistently demonstrated the utmost professionalism while providing stellar customer service during our 20 plus months of living at Aquatera. More specifically, Melanie Aikin (leasing manager), Patrick Dixon (resident manager) and Chelsey Moch (community director) from the leasing office have repeatedly went the extra mile to make our experience at Aquatera Apartment Homes a great one! Swift communication, empathetic understanding, and accommodating nature are just a few characteristics all three individuals proudly provide. The online "resident connect" portal is another convenient platform that can be used to pay your monthly rent, request maintenance, and communicate easily with the team at Aquatera. Speaking of maintenance, the team at Aquatera is highly proficient and quick to respond to any maintenance requests. On numerous occasions I have personally submitted a maintenance request and have received a verification email right away and then the job has been addressed each time in under 24 hours (if not sooner)! The grounds are meticulously kept and recently extra efforts by the management team have been focusing on keeping the community areas (pool, workout room, community rec room, refuse areas) spotless. This is a gigantic undertaking but all areas around the property are really clean and enjoyable to use. The pool, cabanas (with TV's), barbecue area, and community room are all resort quality and add to the luxury experience at Aquatera. During our time at Aquatera we have really embraced the quiet, safe, and friendly atmosphere that is promoted by the staff, other residents, and upper management team. The apartments themselves (our's is a 2 bd 2 ba) have an open concept and huge kitchen islands that are great for entertaining. Stainless steel appliances (gas stoves!) and high-end cabinetry are also a plus. I would highly recommend taking a tour if you are looking for a place to live that is close to everything (20 minutes max to practically every place in SD) and has minimal traffic to deal with. We cannot say enough about the great living experience our family of 4 has had while at Aquatera Apartment Homes. We give the staff (Melanie, Patrick, Chelsey and maintenance crew) the highest of marks for their great service to us!! Come live here... it's like living at a high-end resort!!
