Best transmission shop around hands down!! Cory is extremely knowledgeable honest and very trustworthy. He will not steer you wrong or sell you on something that doesn’t need to be repaired.

CHOSE A SHOP THAT OFFERS A LONGER WARRANTY! I searched long and hard before choosing a shop to have the 45RFE in my 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee rebuilt. The timeframe and the estimate were spot on, but after the warranty expired it all went sideways. There were small signs that things weren't right from the start, poor fuel economy & odd shifting, but nothing sever enough that made me want to take it back. At 25 month's (24 month warranty) it started to shift HARD when cold. At 27 months I called to ask about it. The answer I got was less than encouraging. I was told to "bring it in and we'll look at it". The indication was that they would look at it and charge me for it. I chose not to pay someone more money to fix what I had already paid them to fix. At 29 months the solenoid pack quit, I am fairly mechanically inclined so I replaced it myself. That got me going again but did not fix the hard shift problem. I was finally able to diagnose the poor fuel economy problem but have no solution as to how to fix it yet, the transmission seldom shifts into 5th (OD). Basically I paid $2900.00 to have a 5 speed transmission rebuilt that only 4 gears work on and one of the most expensive parts in the transmission quit 4 months after the warranty expired. :-(

My '92 six-door service limo has a long-ish wheelbase. 1) Will it fit in their shop? 2) Do they offer to 'bullet-proof', or just 'return to factory spec'? I'm looking for more than a repair, I'd like an upgrade while they're at it.

The limo will fit in the shop no problem, I don't know about the bullet proofing but I'd be willing to bet they can do what ever you want them to.

So I brought my 2006 Pontiac G6 gtp 3.9/ to aamco transmission they say burnt transmission 2000 dollers for a rebuild when it was only low on transmission fluid and skipping can this be right I'm on disability so I don't have a lot off cash
