I love Powell’s in general, but this is my go to location. Has a great selection without being overwhelming, and the staff recommendations are always great. The book selling counter can be a long wait, but the book buyers are so pleasant that I didn’t mind.

I used to love Powell's. Now the prices are too high and the selection caters to the brainwashed, indoctrinated in the childrens section.

This place is amazing.Books were stacked as high as the ceiling. And the bookshelves twisted & turned... You could really get lost in here. It was so much bigger than you would think just from looking at it from the outside. And the selection was perfectly balanced. They definitely have something for everyone.

Wow… never seen a place like this before. Sign me in if they would let spend a night at library. They have books on every topic from religion to science fiction, from murder mysteries to love stories. It refreshes my childhood memories that how we used to go to bookstores to buy books. You find a joy there in discovering a book that you never expected to buy. I live in Seattle but I have decided to visit this place every three months

This is a really great store. They require you and their employees to wear masks, they use glass barriers at checkout and they clean between customers. I hope this helps from the author of 'The Reckoning of Rance.'

Yes, both Powell's amd Powell's Gardening next door have a nice selection of greeting cards and journals. Stationary, not so much.
