The food and staff were great. You can tell the that food is kitchen made from scratch and not out of a cardboard box. The decor is cute and hometown-y. I ordered the chopped sirloin. The portion was so big I couldn't finish my plate. My son loved the peach cobbler and the coconut meringue pie was a great summer treat! Great little hide away restaurant find. BTW Lee, the owner, super friendly!!

Well, it's a beautiful place, I will say that. It's nestled in a little town on a sleepy little street but thats the beauty of it, isn't it? The hostess and server were nice, everyone else was looking at me funny... hmmm. The food, well maybe as a Texan, I should've known better than to order a BBQ plate at a non BBQ place. I think the chicken fried steak would've been a good choice. The Brisket was bland and rubbery despite a beautiful smoke ring. The sausage... let's just move on shall we?...It's a nice little place and it's probably busy Saturday nights.

Stand alone restaurant in old downtown area. Restaurant and bathrooms were very clean and well maintained. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. Menu selection was ample. Service was prompt. Food was hot or miss. Mostly miss. Chicken fried steak was very good. BBQ plate was fine. The squash casserole was almost all breading, Cabbage had little too no seasoning. Mac and cheese was very dry. Fried green tomatoes was very good. Tortilla chicken soup was really chicken soup with tortilla strips on top. Very bland. Loaded baked potato soup was very good. So overall it is very hit or miss. It is boarder line if I can recommend.
