As another non profit rescue, we strive to be as professional and caring as Heidi’s Legacy. They are an inspiration to all of us. Rescue is hard and people are quick to judge. Heidi’s has always kept an amazing reputation. Hope we are going as strong at year 20! ❤️🐾 keep up the amazing work—we got your six! -Chez Malinois Rescue Garage

I was EXTREMELY impressed with the due diligence, professionalism, and care this rescue took when it came to the adoption process they have. It was refreshing to see how much effort they put in to make sure the dog was a perfect fit and that for the rest of her life, she would never be put into the "foster system" again. I have always adopted my fur balls from shelters/rescues and this was by far the most tedious process experience I have had. BUT A GOOD TEDIOUS! Most rescues/shelters that I have experienced basically hand over the dog to anyone. Not at Heidi's! After my adoption process I really connected with this rescue and learned that the people who volunteer are incredibly invested and would rather house 16 dogs than place them in the wrong home! Now that is some darn dedication 🥴 The TEAM that makes this rescue possible are an amazing group of animal lovers. I will refer them to everyone I know, and seeing their love for the pups makes me want to help myself 🥰

I recently rescued my new puppy from Heidi's and had a really wonderful experience. You can tell that the rescue staff are genuinely caring and concerned with finding forever homes for their dogs. Their dedication and honesty is so appreciated, and I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone looking for a new furry family member. Our new puppy Ziggy is now our newest family member and we could not be happier! Thank you to this lovely rescue.
Angel Kelly
Kelly from Heidis was a true blessing to our family. This little man was in horrible shape when we rescued him and needed help with lots of dental and medical. Heidis helped us with fees and pickups as we fostered then eventually adopted him. I highly recommend this rescue and only because of the passion and care they have for dogs. Loved working with Kelly. This rescue goes to great lengths in getting there rescues rehabilitated back to good health and keeping them safe.

When there is someone available to foster a dog as wd do not have a shelter.
I am looking to foster. How do i get qualified?
No try the Humane Society of Tampa Bay
Hi Sandra, Personally we are located in FL and are unaware of any specific rescues in MI, however, we would suggest looking online to search. Just because a group may not be based in MI doesn’t mean they don’t have available dogs in another state as well as may adopt out of state too. Through a quick search I located Mission K9 Rescue that is based out of Texas. There are many other groups across the country also, so reach out to them and they may be able to provide more contacts. Good luck in your search!
All information about the adoption process is in the dogs bios as well as on the Heidi's Legacy website.
There is "no place", we are a network of foster homes. The first step is always to fill out the application.
Sorry, we are closed to intake. Check with Pittie rescues. Another idea, it would probably be easier to rehome your other dog(s) and keep this Pittie, since she would be hard to place.
The rescue does not take in any dogs with issues as insurance does not allow it.
It takes a little bit longer than if you were adopting from the ASPCA. Trust me its worth the wait. These babies go through trainings and everything. You will not regret it. 👍
You would need to contact Kelly. Her email is on the page.
Adopt him/her
To be honest with you, I couldn't even find the damn place. It's better to go somewhere else.

We are nit a shelter and all of our dogs are in foster homes ... we are currently looking for foster homes. Your best bet is to reach out to more breed-specific rescues
All of our dogs are in foster care we would need you first to fill out an application on our website
We have not had an Alfie for a long time. Also unless it was a slip up our foster’s phone is not printed. I didn’t see a dog name in your inquiry. Can I check anything further for you
