Wonderful, caring staff. I work with Melissa Ritter and James Terry on a non profit program called Heel to Heal where I instruct inmates from HCI to foster and train dogs from HCAS to get them adopted out. They both have been extremely supportive in fostering and improving this unique and wonderful program that gets the dogs adopted and ensures they have the skills to be able to transition easily into their new homes. i was told by the enforcement officer that there was and my dogs could not bark in my own house i was fined 4200 dollars and had to give my 7 dogs away because the neighbor the next streetbehind me complained she could hear them all day. im retired so im home with them and i don't let them bark all i got was you cannot annoy your neighbors so be careful

I think so, when l was there, someone was reporting a dog being tied up all day in the front yard.
Not sure what this has to do with the shelter, but rabies vaccinations are given by licenced vets. Other vaccinations, like the ones you can buy at feed stores, can be given by anyone.

Picked up a 10 month old Chihuahua terrier mix 3 weeks ago. Nothing but good things to say about the place and kennel areas. The staff was very caring for the animals.
It is a kill shelter so as long as you understand their is a big chance your dog will be killed, I believe so but your best bet is to contact recuse in yours and surrounding areas. Having a pet means being responsible for another life.
If I remember correctly you just have to fill out the application and pay the fee. If you own a home then you should be fine. If you rent, you will have to have a landlord's approval.
They get all breeds of dogs big and small. It's a hit and miss though on what you find. You have to keep checking back.
Call animal control they'll either use cage or catch it do you leave food out there ? that's a big no no ok

It use to be 7 days i think but I know they keep them till they need room it's kitten season now so all the shelters and fosters are overrun 😢 If people would have their animals fixed so they can't reproduce...less animals would be killed Also feral cats are being sterilized, an ear clipped and returned to their group..that's better than dead..but they need donations to do this These two things are the answer to overpopulation...not death Adopt ..don't shop..

At petluv in brooksville if you say they are strays they might give you a break. If not they are the cheapest around i know of.

Just adopted a dog just before Thanksgiving my little pepper is healthy and there spay process is pay up front 70.00have to pay upfront and if you adopt the dog then they'll do everything medically even cleaning ears and trimming nails ect but I don't think u can just walk in. But call them they r wonderful people there

It is a kill shelter. Unfortunately there is not enough funding for shelters. Its why its so important for people to commit to a pet for their full life. #adoptdontshop

To be honest these specific location is very over loaded at the moment, if you can post pictures on Facebook or in local business to find the owner, last results take tlhim or her there

Gabby, they're not going to answer here, you have to go personally to the shelter if you are looking for information about your kitty.
Best bet is to go look around. The are very busy and the website may jot be updated. Although checking their website is at least a place to start. I was there not long ago and they had quite a mux of puppies. Hope you find the perfect fur baby ;)

The "three days" is just a mandatory hold placed by the shelter to give animal owners a chance to find their animals there and claim them. That's it, nothing more. Does not count days they are closed. BUSINESS DAYS

They post nightly reports online. They have a facebook page with pics. They recommend a few sites u should visit to help find your pet when u report them missing. And u can email them a pic. But u really do need to go check in person. And flyers are a big help too.
