The Comfort Suites was a delight. Our family was traveling back to Arizona from Costa Rica and we had an eight hour layover at DFW. I scrambled to find a place for our family and started calling nearby hotels. The Reservation Clerk was kind, courteous and easy to understand. I was looking for an early check-in and this request was accommodated. I was provided with a dedicated phone number to request the airport shuttle. The shuttle arrived as expected and the driver was helpful. The hotel is 15 min away from the airport. The front desk clerk was ready for us. Our room smelled clean, appeared as advertised and we felt safe and comfortable. The beds were soft and cozy. The blackout shades worked great to keep out the mid-day sun. We slept great. My son took advantage of the fitness center. This is not a fancy hotel but it provided everything we needed for the afternoon. I would recommend and would stay there again in the future.

As soon as I walked into the room, I was hit with a thick smell of mildew as if there was a water leak or flood and the carpet wasn't changed. I shrugged it off figuring the room just needed to be aired out so I left the window open while I went to work that night only to return to the mildew smell. I eventually blocked it out figuring I just needed the room to sleep when I get off for the week because I was leaving back on vacation on the weekend and something close to the airport and my job was convenient. Well upon me opening the closet to get the iron, I see on/around the baseboards some black stuff, immediately knew it was mold and there were also some spores on the closet ceiling as well. Guy at the front desk informed that there's no compensation because I didn't report it at check in so they could change my room. Never again, definitely over priced, under managed, lack of customer service, hazardous to your health. So disappointed

Hotel is average. People were not unfriendly. Breakfast was pathetic, a bowl with some muffins in it. Not very good muffins. I know we are in virus times but the coffee was cold and did I mention the 'breakfast' was pathetic. On the rear outside door to parking lot the lock was missing so anyone could enter anytime. Very unsafe for guest.

My experience: The hotel is not that bad. The room was big and clean. I was staying on the first floor. From my room, you could hear everything outside every step from whatever was on top of my room I could hear it. Making this annoying when you are trying to sleep. The bed was comfy the pillows sucked. They do not serve breakfast blaming the covid yet nobody in the hotel was using a mask. They are using this excuse to save money while still charging you full price for the rooms.
