Check their website or email them to find out what is currently needed. Then being needed items to their office. Buzz at the gate & they’ll let you in. Happy to be able to donate

I am homeless and they are helping me to find my own apartment. They helped me obtain a federal housing grant and they have assigned a case manager to work with me. I will be getting some mental health services through Shelter Care as well. I like this place and I feel safe here.

They do great things for the impoverished and homeless. They often have to put up with a lot from a lot of people and do it with a smile and a helping hand. I'm grateful for all they've done for me.

It depends on the luck of the draw as to the worker you get. Some are good and active, some do the bare minimum. It also depends on who is available to help. Some employees are responsive and return calls, advocate for you, etc. while others initially start helping and then literally ghost you, never returning a call or text ever again, even when you are at the most desperate you can be. There seems to be a general lack of shared knowledge of available services and options amongst employees so one employee may not be aware of a service their organization offers that their client could desperately use. But this is not native to this organization, this is a generalized problem amongst ALL social service organizations. I wish you good luck in your search for an organization, and the staff member assigned to you, because really that's what it comes down to....the luck of the draw.
