Father Joe's Villages is within the grime district where a street-facing sign at the place implies the normativity here of genital exposure, public urination, public defecation and drug use of any description. Commercial Street, within which a Trolley runs, is lined with tents and households, which like restaurants in San Diego, stretch all over the pedestrian right of way. Some people here bellow and appear to be angry, but in truth, they seem more bored and miserable than anything. It'd be nice if the city were to provide bathrooms. It does pass by a couple times a week to pick up household garbage. This is socially, in terms of the "traditional" norms, practices and collective dreams, a neighborhood somewhat different than you'll find around Nobel Drive, but this is a migratory people, always spreading their culture like Mormon missionaries.

I would like to say that father Joe's have really grown threw out the years. It is amazing what could come from those that are willing to help those in need. I am also in father's Joe's Shelter Golden Hall. I have to say that I am very thankful for having an opportunity to be part of the family. I thank those that go above and beyond for the community and those families that are in need. Thank you

This is not an actual review. I have been homeless with my son who is 9 years old out here in San Diego California. Every time I inquire about getting a place for us to stay there are different reasons such as they're not accepting anyone because of covid or the only accepted men at certain places. Can anyone answer my question as in where can me and my son go for the weekend begin to try to get on our feet again?

It's clean and has a responsible staff they help you as much as possible. These are three meals a day. They're a lot of security 24 hours a day.
