Beautiful place for hiking and cycling with expansive views of the surrounding hills. The hike from the trailhead to PQ Falls is about a mile and is pretty easy. A bike rack near the water provides a place to leave your bike when walking down to the falls. As others have mentioned, this isn't a big waterfall. But the view is lovely, and there appear to be many trails I have yet to discover.

Best little waterfall hike close to SD. Start at trailhead just south Elizabeth rabbit Park if you want the shortest route to the waterfall.

There is no waterfall!!! Just some creek on the rocks. I think the trail is amazing. But the waterfall is a big lie.

Yeah, it's lengthy and you can switch up between the flat trail and hiking trails. I think someone mentioned there is parking lot close to the waterfalls area. Maybe research before you head out.
Very shallow and not a swimming hole. If you want that, look at Devils Punchbowl. You will have to yet a permit to do that hike though. Or you could tackle Three Sisters to swim at the waterfall at the top
It rained recently so there's probably more water than usual! But I've never seen it without water, even in the summer.
