My wife and I went to try a new restaurant this past Saturday, so we decided to give Via Mar a chance, when we got there nobody greeted us we were standing for a bit looking for someone to sit us down, after a good 4 min a busboy told us we can sit anywhere we like, the place was not busy at all, after waiting in the table for another 6 min we were about to leave but a waitress show up and we decided to stay, big mistake. We order the molcajete Cielo mar y tierra, when it show up it look like a molcajete soup it was not steaming hot at all, it was warm to the touch with tiny little pieces of meat, We got sick from what ever left overs they gave us it was not worth the price.

I recommend going to this restaurant and buying yourself one of these shrimp cocktails. I like mine with octopus. So mine what shrimp and octopus. The servers and staff are friendly and the food comes out as a good pace. The total price I paid for a large shrimp cocktail with octopus was $17 in change. But they do have a smaller version that's $11 in change.

Pretty good food had happy hour dishes when I went. Two tacos el gobernador which are cheesey shrimp tacos, they were my favorite thing I ate. We also got an order of camarones al ajo the plate came with rice and seasoned fries. The shrimp flavor was good but they were a bit over cooked. We had two orders of tacos the camarones al ajo and two beers and a coke total came out to $35. Definitely worth stopping by for happy hour. Also we loved the bean dip they bring out with the chips we ate the whole thing.
