Total waste of time: the staff is spread so thin that they are virtually non-existent. At 9:30 on a weekday there was one person assigned to "appliances" but it took 15 minutes and another employee to find her. She admitted she knew nothing about kitchen countertops and I should come back at a different time so what's a prospective customer to do but look elsewhere?

They had what I wanted and the staff was helpful with my questions. I've been going to Home Depot for 30 or 40 years now. Just a good place to get all those do-it-yourself items.

The item I was looking for was in stocks. The other item I was looking for is either located in another area, is not carried by them, or was out of stock. There were no employees in the tool department to ask (not uncommon). I have suggested for years, that Home Depot install a kiosk to locate items in the store, but have been told that the employees are there to do that. I read that the HD app has this feature, but I don't need another single purpose app on my phone. Just put the locator on your mobile site. The new military discount program is also a step backwards, with a 400 dollar maximum savings per year. Having to sign into my account to pull up a QR code is pretty unhandy too. Don't get me wrong by my comments, because I will still keep coming to this business because of the goods they sell. I do tend to look at the other two competitors more often now.

I love home Depot ...it's a great store with excellent merchandise and I love spending money there but I feel not so good when all of the anti theft secret shoppers follow me all around the store acting like I'm going to steal some washers or hose clamp. I've had a account for over 5 years and I'm in good standing and always pay for everything on time but when I went there the other day it made me feel like leaving rather than shopping and I know they get a lot of theft but when 5 people gather around me while I'm trying to find a bolt it don't feel very good..there has to be a better way!
