Best bicycles I've ever owned, hands down. My Pocket Llama is going on 20-years old. Rock solid, comfortable, practical, and good performance. I currently own four of their folding bikes and because of my remote location (relative to their shop), I have a local REI work on their bikes with good success, although I do recommend you call to make sure the bike tech has experience with Bike Friday products. When I can arrange it, I pack my bikes in their suitcases and drop them off in Eugene for tune-ups and upgrades. Folks at the shop are extremely helpful. In one specific case, I wanted to have them tune-up the bike and fix a few things (at their shop in Eugene) prior to a ride on the Willamette Bikeways (Portland-Eugene-Portland). The plan was to fly in from Alaska to Portland with my gear and hop on the bike to start riding. The folks at Bike Friday arranged to have a friendly shop in PDX hold the bike for me in 'will call'. Amazing service.

I recently picked up my bikes at the factory. Holy moley, excellent service! We arrived 10 mins to closing time and would not be surprised if they had to rush us through the process of handing them over like other stores. Not at Bike Friday. Two of their staff stayed an extra 1.5 hours BEYOND closing time on a Saturday to make sure that we know how to operate the bike fold, our bikes fit comfortably, helped us put on our own pedals and saddles, and gave us the factory tour. We're taking our bikes around the world. I don't think I'm going to worry if I have a problem when I'm in some distant location like a Burmese village. Their personal service before and after the sale truly sets them apart. If you're going to the factory, it's not easy to see from the street because of the location set-back on their building. Turn into Napa Auto Parts (blue building) on the street, and then the sign would clearly visible.

Hey Thomas, I'm assuming you are referring to the custom name plate? A heat gun, applied to the frame around the name plate, will soften the adhesive to the point where prying it with a small flat will get that name plate off with no issues.
We are a folding bike, cargo bike, and commuter bike manufacturer. Sorry, we do not do general purpose bike repair. Bicycle Way of Life or Hutch's are businesses downtown we regularly refer people to for general bike repair.
