The lady working here was so rude. She demanded that we wear masks but had none to offer us. Our group of four people only had one mask between us so we took turns using it and going in. I’m pretty sure this is more unsanitary than us not wearing masks. Very disappointed. Don’t require masks if you don’t have any to offer.

A lovely little treasure trove of unusual books. Be prepared to squeeze through shelves and dig a bit. It's worth it! Not a place that's very handicap accessible, sadly. But the amount and breadth or good value books (and yarn, can't forget the yarn) make it an excellent shop.

Hi Sharon, We do take donations of books. Please call before you bring books over. We are pretty packed in here and we might need to move some things around for your books. -Amanda
Parking is tough on Hawthorne. But sometimes the parking in front of the shop opens up at just the right moment. Please be careful not to block driveways if you park on a side street.
Right now we are requiring masks, but not appointments. We would love to get back to mask-optional shopping - and we will when the county gets out of the high risk category for COVID-19 infections.
Unfortunately our shop is very small so we do not have the space for events, including readings.
