The beach area is pretty limited for my personal liking, the river is more intense than I feel comfortable with for my special needs son, and it's a bit crowded for how I prefer to camp and swim with my family. It is very nice though overall, and has great views.

My Mom and I came with some friends from the Hood River Adventure Van Expo to camp after the show. The campground is just awesome. The camp hosts, Steve and Tiffany, are amazing and told us some info about the park. There are bigger camp sites in the middle of the loop but there are also spots that are right on the river. All of the bathrooms have pay showers. There are little sandy beaches in some spots to get in at. Overall a great campground with nice hosts. Check out callsignsandoval.com for more reviews. Camp host Steve and his wife were very accommodating for our stay. They were very knowledgeable of the area and provided us with extra firewood and told us about the local places that are a great place for locals and tourists alike. I highly recommend this place for anyone wanting to stay in the PNW.

It is a first come first served campground. You pick out the spot you want and pay for it at the kiosk. It’s easier to get a spot on weekdays. On weekends it’s a good idea to get there early. You can start reserving spots at 9am.
Yes, there are no electrical
Unfortunately we no longer accept reservations for the picnic shelters. All campsites and picnic areas are available on a first-come, first serve basis only. Thank you, Hood River County Parks.
Yes, In the upper part of the park

We paid $35 a day for a tent campsite and it was wonderful, we had seclusion and the showers were closed down the pathway
It shouldn't be too bad. Most people will follow a normal work schedule so it's busiest Fridays and Saturdays, maybe a bit more so around the holidays.
20 to 40 depending where you choose. Next to the river is more expensive.
Rates for last year were twenty dollars per night for camp sites not on the river. Camp sites located on the river were thirty dollars per night.
