It seemed like a good place, just couldn't help me in my situation

I stayed at One safe space with my child after an abusive relationship. It was the best experience that it could have been. Yes there were some kinks in their system. There were a few bums and drug addicts there. There were some ladies that were just trouble and tried to get other people in trouble and kicked out. This place is no country club! It is a shelter! You get what you put into it. I was there for three months. They gave me and my kid a private room and bathroom, free food and advise on how to get housing. My family was safe. The staff was nice. I was given enough time to get a job, save money and find permanent housing. It was a blessing. If you go there for a free ride and to hang out with ex druggies you can do that easily. But if you want to get your life together so no one can abuse you again or treat you like garbage, you can do that too. It is what you make it. I was able to complete all of my goals and move on with my life and me and my family will be eternally grateful for that.

One SAFE Place does offer relocation for victims. I see this question was posted several months ago 😔 I hope your friend was able to get the help she needed and is in a safer environment now 💜

Yes but later this month
I believe they do and you bring then to the facility on Benton
Its for people of domestic violence. Women, women and children, or men of dv.
For more information about housing you should call their hotline, they will be better able to assist you with questions. 😊
You don't have to... But your life is more important than any material object. Plus there are ways to make him move out in the restraining order paperwork that OSP can help you with.
Actually lie's are absolutely not ok. Thats why so many have restraining orders that are fictional. I however suggest that you be truthful. Lies hurt and in the long run cause more lies are not worth it. They are a wonderful organization and my kids and have stayed on 2 different occasions.
