As unhelpful as a government building could get. If you are not on any sort of cash aid or any government welfare, they could care less about helping the children of the single parents that have sole physical and legal custody. They work only IF the custodial parent is on welfare. If you arent on welfare but you still need enforcement of child support payments , you are 100 percent on your own. In fact they not only dont enforce the payment orders...they will close your case no matter how old the children are. They said they could not locate the noncustodial parent (even tho I HAD GIVEN THEM HIS PHONE NUMBER AND ADDRESS on several occasions) and after 4 years if them being completely incapable of locating the deadbeat parent , they closed My case. My children -at the time of case closure were 12, 14, and 16. So much for justice.

Been waiting on a payment for over a year was suppose to get it in October then I was told it was extended till December. December came then I was told till March. March came now I’m being told end of June. So that will put it to about a year and half that they have been holding it. When June comes I bet it’s gonna be extended even longer. It’s ridiculous to wait for a payment for this long.

If I could give the a negative score I would. A hard working parent shouldn't have to fight to get the back child support they've already collected. I have been told each time I'm supposed to receive a payment it is pushed back again. At this point it has been 7 months. No questions answered. Just told they only tell me what they know. I wonder how many other people out there are going through the same issue with them. I feel like they keep pushing it back hoping you give up on getting the money. It has been 7 months now and the next date they have given is March. Am I the only one getting the run around with them? I wonder how many people are still fighting for their money. I would love to get as many people together to hire an attorney. Then make them explain why they are keeping the money that belongs to the kids.

0 Stars. Absolutely horrible!!!! I have an Interstate case and they refuse to speak with me. My ex owes $133,500 in back child support and they are doing nothing to collect on current or arrears. He has already fallen $6,000 behind just this year. They have never held him in contempt of court or put him in front of a judge. The most they have done is suspend his license and then he makes a payment and they give it right back. I’m disabled and can’t afford an attorney and I have to hire one in that county and state and I live in Idaho. My 16 year old daughter is having to work to help pay bills but that doesn’t matter to her dad or to Shasta County Child Support. I just called them last month in April 2019 to give them information on current employer and paydays, ect and they took a message and told me they would have the case worker call me back. It has been over 60 days without any payment. A few hours later I received a phone call from Idaho Child Support saying they were contacted by CA Child Support and that I was not to contact them again regarding my case. I asked for an update and was told it’s confidential. So I’m not allowed to know what’s going on with collecting on this large amount or if there ever going to do anything to ever enforce it. This has been going on now for 14 years!!!! If your not in their state they don’t care about the welfare of your kids. It’s absolutely horrible and heartbreaking.
