God bless the few ladies holding this place together. They are severely understaffed to the point where there is literally only one employee at a time doing both front desk and housekeeping. A quick calculation shows they literally cannot possibly keep up with the number of rooms that are supposed to be available with that kind of staffing shortage. They are doing their best, as my husband and I witnessed watching Heather last night while we sat in the lobby. When we arrived for our stay a few nights earlier, Roxanne informed my husband that they couldn't even see our reservation through Choice Hotels because they were bought just days earlier and had cut ties with CH. We were, however, able to get a full refund of our CH reservation with a phone call. Choice really needs to remove this location from their online booking because, as we saw last night, it makes people upset and question whether something shady is going on. On the plus side, we ended up paying quite a bit less than our initial reservation we booked online. All that said, we enjoyed our stay, though the AC on the second floor in a poolside room had a hard time keeping up with the heat of the day and pulling out the humidity. The pool is wonderful and the access right out our room was perfect for us. We look forward to tracking what happens with this hotel that, with a little work and at least twice the staff, could turn back into the gem it used to be. Edit to add: they have actual BREWED coffee--none of that syrup coffee like so many places have gone to nowadays.

We arrived at 6pm after driving 6 hours and our room was not ready. They told me that they were short staffed. Fortunately we hadnt had dinner yet so we went to do that when we came back there was a sivn that said they were in housekeeping and laundry abd gave a phone number to call. there was some holes in the wall in the room. took some time to find the remote which had fallen between the end table and the bed. lots of cabinets and stuff laying around in the halls. I was a little skeptical about a roadway in when i booked it but wanted to stay in a choice hotel. im glad i used choice points and stayed for free otherwise I wouldnt have been happy if i paid.

Great for the price. Indoor pool was so relaxing! Heather checked us in and was awesome! She was able to suggest a place to eat until our room was ready and had us ready when we got back. I would definitely do this one again.

Was pretty awesome for the price. I am just a little miffed the pool was not heated and I was told it was still open. You should really disclose that or close the pool. I mean at least have signs that warn people the pool is gonna be 45°F (that is an approximation based on experience in swift water and thousands of in-pool hours as a competitive swimmer). The breakfast was awesome. Just awesome. The staff could be hard to get ahold of because they were doing so much on a short staff. But they were the best part of my stay. Only other issue was that many TVs were damaged or stuck in demo mode, prompting me to get a new room a couple times because the annoyance of pop ups about 15 y/old sound enhancing features of their TVs or dead pixels in the tube. Just ask for a different room and they got it.
