Had my abandoned car towed (I had to leave town due to an emergency & didn’t have time to deal with it) — not a great situation, but everyone at Sergant’s was SO NICE to me and walked me through the process of selling my car to them for auction.

The secretary and driver were both very helpful... my car was wrecked and vandalized, so needless to say I was stressed out and they gave me solid advise on what I should do!!!

Asked to have a car towed from my parking spot. Told me they'd be by soon.. never called or showed up. Fast forward 2 weeks.. called again said they'd be out in an hour. No show yet again. No call no nothing.

Hey stupid, where's your extension cord for your jumper cables, so you can jump start the vehicle from the street? I used to run tow truck for 18 months in Yamhill County and we have extension cords for jumper cables so we don't have to drive up on sidewalks. This is why you have so many 1-star reviews let alone being a predatory tow company.

Questions & Answers

A friend had borrowed my car and was using it, she parked it where she lives. You towed it because it is not registered to a resident of the apartment complex. Even though she was legitimately using it. How do we resolve this?

I'm guessing the posted sign said permit parking or resident parking either way she would not have been as you say legitately using it. If it cannot be determined the car belongs to someone living there than it's shouldn't be parked there if there were no signs then the car wouldn't have been towed. So to answer your question pay the bill and learn to pay attention to warning signs before parking. Who knows if enough people actually obeyed the rules when they parked you might put tow companies out of business.

Million dollar insurance coverage, 80,000 dollar truck, business license and fees, local jurisdiction takes a cut oh and did I mention employees need to be paid. Just a suggestion if you don't own the property be sure the owner doesn't mind you parking there, usually there are several signs and if you ignore them you have excepted the price what ever it might be.
