I would give 0 stars if I could. I've been meaning to write this review since January. I sent an email canceling our application and got no apology for our horrible experience. I will copy and paste my email for you all to read. "My partner & I are sending this email as documentation for canceling our application. This was decided before we found out if we were approved or not because of our experience. We were very upset that communication took very long as we were on a time crunch. We were not told about the office being closed on New Year’s Eve and New Year's day until the last minute which resulted in us having to live in a hotel because of the lack of priority in our application approval and communication. Not to mention one of the resident's dogs almost attacked me at the entrance the night we arrived. If this resident had a longer leash or didn't yank the leash they had on this dog would’ve injured me. I am very unhappy with our experience in all. We had told Owen we would come back Sunday as we were not going to wait till he was back Tuesday for an answer because we needed a home as soon as possible as we were moving from Arizona. Sunday when we arrived the leasing agent Destiny was unaware of the situation which she should’ve been informed of and prepared for our question. This resulted in her having an attitude and being quite rude. That was the last straw. Being a former leasing agent I would NEVER handle a lease and future residents the way emerald place did. Being a leasing agent you want your residents to feel welcomed and comfortable where they live. With our experience, I knew this wasn’t the place for us because I would not want to be somewhere where we didn’t feel prioritized but rather a constant bother when asking for help in the office. On top of trying to call the office and leaving a voicemail for the following 2 days to not hear from anyone till the 3rd was unacceptable. Our experience has left a bad mark on us and we hope future leases and residents are handled with more priority and respect. I understand there’s only so much that can be done but not prioritizing or being attentive and being rude to possible future residents is unacceptable."

If Cayley answers the phone, save yourself the trouble and hang up. One of the worst service experiences ever. After the leasing office was inexplicably closed midday with no notice, and after nobody was answering the phones, I was trying to arrange a drop-off of packages mistakenly delivered to the front office. But Cayley outright refused to do anything but leave my packages in an insecure location out in the open. Even after explaining that I am immunocompromised and contagious, she would sooner have me visit the office than actually think outside the box and find some way to go above and beyond for the safety of their team and the convenience for a longtime resident. She made plenty of excuses for low staffing and being too busy (a line frequently heard from the constantly-revolving staff since 2017). Out of nowhere, Cayley then started yelling at me on the phone and got unprofessionally emotional, then accused ME of yelling at HER just so she could hang up. Having no choice but to visit the leasing office directly to fix my issue, and declining small talk/polite conversation, Cayley literally waved me away with her hands like I was a stray animal entering the building, and did nothing to help me with the three oversized packages I was struggling to carry. I never would have lived at Emerald Place if I knew how dehumanizing their service would become, and Cayley's actions were an absolutely ridiculous display for a neighborhood with an already shoddy reputation. Absolutely read other reviews before moving here. Don't move here at all, if you're smart.

If you are thinking to move here, don’t. The first week I moved here someone broke into mail boxes room stole some mail. It's an old complex the apartment smells really bad. Most of the apartment restrooms are inside the bedroom. The restroom fan is so loud. You can't sleep in this place. Now the construction is going on for next year or two. It's over rated because it's close the Nike. I'm sure you can find something better worth your money

Security is a big issue. Constant mailroom break-ins since the past six months. If you rent here, expect your mail to be stolen. The management has almost given up on it with no help forthcoming. This has only gotten worse since. Been living here for 9 months but thinking about moving to a more secure neighborhood when my lease is up.

Why does the maintenance guy get to park in the fire lane just to sit in his office, especially when there are lots of office spots available? Please address this again or don't and we can let the police / fire marshall address it.
