Took mom out for mothers day, hadn't been here before but reservations were available. When we pulled up my first impression said well this is why they had open availability. But to my surprise once we got inside and sat down, we were greated by a very friendly waitress. We got drinks promptly and even though we took forever she was kind and kept coming back to check on us. Now ofcoarse you all must want to know if the food is any good. I will tell you its on the pricey side. Not just for the type of resturant but the atmosphere as well as the food. It was all very good. I really didn't have any complaints the soup was great, the wings were delicious. The steaks are subpar for the price but still a good steak I will not take away from that. All of the food we got was good. The drinks I got were also quite tasty and on the adult side. But its always good to have a decent drink menu as well as food options. Speaking of which lastly I wanted to say I was most surprised and happy about the menu size, as in options, it seemed to have a very wide range of food you don't see typically. Although I kept to a steak I might consider coming back to try the stuffed peppers as im so curious...

Charlie's Place is the place to go in Niantic. You can't beat their steaks, burgers, seafood dishes, and variety of salads. Weekly specials are always a hard choice. Large bar with several beers on tap. The atmosphere is relaxing and very friendly with outstanding service. The owners are always there to make customers happy and you will always see repeat customers. You won't find a better restaurant in Niantic!

A convenient stop for dinner after a trip to the book barn. I ordered the California turkey wrap, which I enjoyed, as well as the sweet potato fries, which were okay. The service was friendly, and they brought our food to our car once it was ready (although they did not include napkins/silverware with our takeout order).

Big servings, the BBQ wings were good, burgers are pretty big and good. I enjoyed the seafood Penne Alfredo, dish big enough for two more than enough for one person. Saturday dinner rush can be crowded but worth the wait in good food.
