Nice beach, but a little pricey for non residents

A beautiful place to go. There is a boardwalk that is over a mile long that hugs the shoreline and a small beach attached to McCook's park. One ofnour favorite places for years. Must have a pass between Memorial day and Labor day to park in lot.

Half of the view is beautiful. But there is a large factory looking building occupying part of the view. I really enjoy this beach. Typically it isn't too crowded and usually really clean. The cement "boardwalk" is fanatic if you're just looking to stretch your legs for a mile or two and not do it in sand. So far I've only met pleasant people here. And although I've seen dogs I have not seen dog droppings.

Nice, quiet little beach with soft sand and no waves - great for little kids. Love the boatdwalk that stretches for at least a quarter mile around the shoreline. The occasional trains screaming by over the tunnel are a bit noisy, but also fun for the kids to watch. Although the daily admission has gotten pretty steep over the years.

The ⛱ beach is open all year round, but they will have an attendant checking for Vehicle passes on the weekend's, and after the 21st they'll be checking for vehicle passes everyday until September 1st and Remember that ALL Connecticut residents are FREE to go into Any and All State Parks now ! 👍😁

The near by hotels have beach passes for free entrance but you have to ask the hotel, they won't just offer it to you.
So far its free and the sign says it is for only lyme residents but no one has checked
