I transport Seniors and medically fragile adults to multiple heath care venues in Benton County every week - and have great empathy for the challenges that these Oregonians face on a daily basis. I visited the Corvallis Chintimini Senior Center's temporary location at Corvallis Parks & Recreation's main office in Avery Park today (11.06.19) to get advice / resources to assist a Senior who lost her Oregon ID Card and needs to handle important financial transactions before the end of 2019. The staff (Natalie & Rick) were very helpful and I appreciate their personal attention to my questions / concerns. I highly recommend this superb community resource to all Seniors and their families in the Corvallis / Benton County area. Thank you! *****FIVE STARS*****

Questions & Answers

Do you still have dances? My wife and I used to come to the dances you had in the center some years ago. There was always a live band. We really enjoyed it.

Hi Joseph, Thanks for inquiring. The Center is closed for construction right now, but before we closed, we had quarterly dance and music evenings featuring a live band. We also had monthly ballroom dance nights hosted by well-known dance instructors in our community. We plan to reopen next June, so I hope you'll check in with us then to get the schedule of our upcoming dances. In the meantime, I'll share your request with our recreation team. Thanks again!

Thanks for your question. We have a help wanted/help offered board at the Center which is available for community members of all ages. If you have skills to offer, we encourage you to drop off a flyer at our front desk so we can post it for you.
