The staff are always helpful for any questions you may have. From starting your first fermentation, to a complex brew, to diagnosing troubled batches they will help you figure it out. Unfortunately the store will be closing after nearly 25 years. We will miss the store, but if you catch the owner at a bar, know he helped foster a generation of local brewers.

I've passed by Corvallis Brewing Supply for years on the way to work, examining the cider presses and other cool equipment in front of the building. I have many friends who make home brew and probably shopped there. Problem is, no one mentioned that there was a fantastic selection of world class wine and beer also available for those of us that don't brew... so I never went in. My bad. Folks, this is what is known as a third place. The kind of business that made Corvallis a great place to live and is rapidly disappearing. There are treasures to be found here, along with a tremendous knowledge base that you won't find just anywhere. Truly, I can't say enough good things about the owner, the selection, and his wonderful staff. In the past two months I have had many opportunities to sample a vast array of wine, beer, ciders, etc. which has helped expand my knowledge of the vast array of beverages available. As a person who doesn't drink much, this and the input of both staff and loyal customers has helped me to select a few things to take home. It's a total bummer that this store has only a week left to go. Get your self down there now. See you on Tuesday......

Great people, excellent service, and a large selection of quality products at fair prices. The place to go for brewing supplies...and they have a great bottle shop to grab some delicious pre-made beverages while you're there!

We've found everything we need to brew hard cider here. The staff is very knowledgeable and has helped answer questions about every step of the brewing process. They have a large variety of yeasts which can help produce different flavors, and the staff was encouraging and helpful when I first tried to use the natural yeast on my apples. We rented an apple press for a great price and finally utilized all of the apples on our tree. If you're new to brewing, I'd highly recommend stopping in here. The first time I visited the shop, I just asked questions and checked out pricing and they were a great resource. The brewing process was much easier to understand after that chat and very enticing to try. The cost starting out as a newbie with no equipment was surprisingly low. Highly recommend this shop for their expertise and range of products. Side note - they also have a huge selection of local wines.

There are different types and sizes. I rented a medium sized Correll press for 24 hours for $40, plus a $50 refundable cleaning fee. It would have been $30 to rent the press for 5 hours. (I've just posted a review and added photos of the current rental prices).
You can make wine from raisins or raisin grapes! Let me know if you need some guidance. Joel
I can't answer for all home brew supply shops, but we do make our rentals available for purchase at the end of the crushing season, which is usually around Thanksgiving. If you think you might be interested, stop in to take a look at the units and to put your name on a list of parties that we call at the end of the season.
I'm sorry, we do not :-( But, there are only about a dozen beers with the "excalibur" in the name! Can you be more specific? Although, at this time I am not familiar with any beer sold in this region with that name in it.
