Rented bikes from here on our week long vacation! Our two toddlers fit in the trailer behind my husbands bike and I rode my own cruiser! Fun to have the option to ride around Newport Beach each day on bikes!!

I want to give 5 stars because we had an amazing time while biking but the service was just atrocious. A girl who works here was extremely rude to me and my party. As we walked in she said “do you need something?” as if it’s not a bike rental place and that’s not our intention. She was also being rude to another group of people near us. I’m a firm believer that if i’m paying for a service I should at the LEAST get some respect. Other than that, great place.

You can rent a single bike for $12 / day. It's a simple bike that's good enough for riding around town and on the beach trail. The rental and return processes are simple and quick. They don't bug you about extra insurance. The bikes are in working conditions but already have some dents and scratches on metal parts, so there is no inspection of every detail on the bikes at return. There is a $10 / day rental shop to the northwest, but it was not open at 9:30AM on Monday as Google Map said it should.

Stay away! Shady business practices! In any case, you get what you pay for. $10 per day if you show their own coupon on your phone but they have really horrible bikes and, unlike other places, charge extra for baskets, helmets and locks. They apparently don't care if their own bikes get stolen because they will charge you over $300 if something happens. They also force you to make an imprint of your credit card and sign it, rather than asking for an ID as at other places, so that they could charge you in any way they see fit. First bike they gave me had a known issue with the chain. It broke while out on the bike path which wasted a lot of time walking it all the back to the store. They then revealed that it had a recurring issue with the chain and gave me an even crappier bike. This is late September, well past the busy summer season, but they didn't have any other bikes. You're better off going to places that have higher quality bicycles with multiple gears and brakes and provide complementary baskets, locks and helmets. Going rate was $20 per day. We rented from another place and found the quality and service really added to our experience. Other places provide helmets, locks and baskets at no extra charge. We were able to carry water and other small backpacks in our baskets without the hassle of carrying them ourselves while riding all day. In addition, we were able to cover much more ground quickly because the bikes go went faster with less effort having had multiple gears. Lastly, we were able to stop at places to look around or walk on the beach without fear that our bikes would get stolen.
