What a fun, unique, local shop! Love how they do community events and don’t make you feel obligated to buy anything. Definitely visiting the second location soon!

Always a treat to come here! I can never leave without buying a beautiful stone, peering at the strange bones and skulls, and admiring the butterflies pinned up. They have toys for kiddos, and even a lil plant section.

I have been experiencing a really hard time in life lately, so a friend of mine recommended for me to check out some crystal shops to start carrying around gems for their metaphysical properties. I stepped into Paxton Gate knowing almost nothing about these rocks and minerals; however, the employees were super helpful and ready to share their knowledge with me. The crystals were very well organized and it's easy to find whatever you need. Prices are also affordable. They had a wonderful buy four $5 rocks and get the fifth free deal. In addition, the shop offers a lot of cool things. They have a little garden area with plants, including cacti and flytraps, some informational books, seashells, taxidermy, jewelry, etc. The aura of the store was calming and it's not boring at all to look around! I really would like to come back and maybe start a little crystal collection.

Stunning. It was like walking into a museum and being able to buy the main exhibits. I felt like Indiana Jones in pickers paradise. If you love the exotic and have an eccentric taste this is the place. Staff is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Rocks, Gems, Fossils, taxidermy, Jewelry, art, exotic plants… on and on. I wish I lived here.
