I recently discovered this beautiful park through my extended stay at Lakeside. I find it very pleasant and comfortable enough to do some meditating, and grounding under the trees. The scenery there is perfect. It's to bad that the old Lakeside Inn that stood on the park was torn down.lt would have added the perfect scenery of day's gone by. It's also a great place to take a dog,as long as it's on a leash no one bother's you. Looking forward to many more visits.

So.. I havent been here in a year, yes a whole year lol i didnt know they drained and are constructing something in the second lake. Anyone know what it will be? And the boat house looks amazing! Took the dog for a walk. So many people walking their dogs! I love this park. I think I will start going more again.

Not really. You can if you want to make sure something will be available. If a spot is reserved....they post a sign. So no sign...first come first serve. UNLESS it's in the community Center . Yes their are bbq. If you go on MAPS THERE ARE A lot of pictures
The lakes aren't necessarily being enlarged but being dredged to a depth of 9 feet. This area is home to many ducks, pelicans, geese, coots, birds, turtles, fish, lizards and other crawly things. The lake improvements will enhance the lives of these inhabitants of this area and the enjoyment of visiting people.
I don't think it's legal but I seen some guys with fishing rods there.
They don't sell food however you are welcome to feed them just don't feed them bread it does more harm than good to them. There is a feedstore accross the street from the park or Paytons Hardware both on Maine Ave. They sell duck food
