A shout out to the El Monte Park rangers for keeping the park just as beautiful for my granddaughters birthday party picnic as it was for when I would have my childrens birthday picnics there. Everyone I've ever talked to has no problem paying the small park fee because it's clearly being put to good use. Great lakeside landmark and a beautiful spot to spend time with friends and family.

Beautiful park. I attended in a wedding here.

A GREAT place to enjoy the fresh air and step away from the busy city-life! El Monte Park has playgrounds for kids and big grassy areas for all kinds of outdoor activities. Picnic benches are available all throughout the park. The restrooms were open, clean, and well stocked. We paid a $3 fee for parking and stayed most of the day. It was absolutely beautiful!

This is such a beautiful park. I would highly recommend you check it out. Very kid friendly. It cost $3.00 to park but a beautiful backdrop. Also located near Lake Jennings and the El Capitan Resivor. You also get alot of wild Turkey that run around that area. Lots of play places. Plenty of parking aswell. They only take cash so keep that in mind also. They also have Flinn Springs Park near by. Here's some photos I took from today. I have more you can see on Instagram @Manbehindalens

$3.00 for parking, but if anyone has bee allergies than i wouldn't recommend going there. My family does and the youngest got stung. Wish i knew that i could have got a senior discount last week when we all went.
The park was open on Veteran's Day. We would visit here when I was a kid. Still lots for a kid to do here. Plenty of bathrooms. Bring your kids and their friends. They'll have a great time like we did.
No its cash only
The gate is open and you can pay as soon as you arrive. I was there at 0900 in the morning on a Saturday
Not close to the park but there are a few not that far. Viejas Casino and Resort and another hotel off of Arnold Way in Alpine. There are some in El Cajon as well but nothing within walking distance.
