I've tried to get help from this clinic multiple times. They are always 6 months of more out. They refused to help me find another clinic. They wouldn't even schedule me for an entrance interview. Talk about a let down, I have no idea how you can call yourself a treatment center when you turn people away blindly. After reading the owners response to my review, it only strengthens my point. Dismissive and not fit for the title "mental health service". I initially applied in March of 2020, after 4 months of no contact I reached out again, they told me 6+ months before I could get an interview. I wouldn't want to be a client/patient of theirs reflecting on how I was treated. I found help at another clinic where I was made a priority.

I attempted to make an appointment for weeks. No one answered any of the phone extensions. I left many nice messages. Then I left many angry messages. Still none of my calls were returned. I finally spoke with Emily, the intake coordinator, because my insurance company connected me to her on the phone. She told me it was a six month waitlist. I sent in my referral because there are no other options - they essentially have a monopoly. No response. I called to see if they received my referral, and found out they had blocked my phone number. I called from a different number and spoke to someone in billing (the only line that answered, big surprise?). He found out for me that they had decided not to serve me, and blocked my number because of my angry voicemails. Of course they never told me that. So, you can’t make an appointment or speak with anyone… and if you express your rage at how they are taking government money and helping no one - just lining their pockets and taking long leaves of absences - you also can’t make an appointment. Typical scoundrels.

I’ve been coming here for four years. In that stretch of time, things have shifted around with providers and billing, but I’ve now been seeing Megan for at least 18 months and find her to be very consistent and reliable as a clinician. I’m also very pleased with the scheduling, as the front desk staff have worked with me when unexpected conflicts come up within a few days of my appointments. Lastly - they have been able to bill my Cigna insurance as in-network, which is a recent change and tremendously helpful.

I feel terribly sorry for those before me who had a bad experience. I was diagnosed later in life (22, and I'm 23 now). This has been a life changing experience. Someone complained about the dogs, but there are 2 dogs that are training to be therapy dogs and they're very sweet, just very eager. I love them every time I come in, but that may just be more personal preference. I've never been ignored, and the office is kind and helpful. My therapist is wonderful and I feel very helped with my medicine. I'm grateful for this clinic.

Questions & Answers

Does one need to have a diagnosis and referral for adhd first before coming to seek treatment or counseling? It's been difficult getting started with treatment and every time I've finally gotten the ball rolling having to start over is very hard...

It is hard! Great work taking the first step! We are currently accepting submissions from patients whose mental or physical health providers have submitted a referral to our office only. To be added to our wait list please have your current mental health or primary care physician fill out and return the Patient Referral Form on our website. If you are seeking medication management only, you would need a previous diagnosis of ADHD. For patients interested in evaluation and/or ongoing therapy you do not.

Do you take adults. And his it like talking therapy

They do take adults. They have both psychological intervention and psychiatric. The counseling is talking, but it’s rather practical. You can both process through talking about problems, and you can come in with a list of problems and they will work through it with you. It’s been a rather practical approach for me.
