We had a great time! Got at least 5 different rolls and the eel and salmon sashimi. Our friends got the ramen and some sake. I got the lemon drip which was fabulous. We had an amazing time. Would definitely go back. Probably some of the best sushi I’ve had in Portland so far.

Shoko sushi is a great neighborhood spot! They have awesome specials and fish varieties. Their ramen, tempura and gyoza are also very good! I’m a big fan of their nigiri specials. They also have an extensive sale list! The photo below is the nigiri lunch special with a California roll (not pictured - it also comes with miso soup).

From the moment we walked in Shoko was an experience! The food was beyond delicious and portion sizes were more than generous. Amazing food for reasonable prices. Staff was very friendly and attentive during our dining experience. We ordered the bento box lunch special and the Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen and the Woodstock Sake Flight, both were very flavorful and unique and the sake flight was well paired. Would definitely reccomend Shoko for good eats, relaxed atmosphere and price point.

Very generous portions. I ordered a variety of sushi rolls; I can’t say any of the rolls really stood out to me, but I was very full after only a few pieces and I felt like this was a very solid amount of food and fish in the sushi for the price. A lot of the specialty rolls have similar sauces, which is probably why I couldn’t distinguish the flavors all too well, but even just the simple salmon and mango roll was packed with salmon and tasted fresh. I think this is a great value and if you are in the neighborhood would definitely satisfy your sushi craving. Everything was solid. If I could give half stars this would be a 3.5 for me.
