We had a fantastic stay. The location put us close to plenty of food options with easy drives to many popular hikes in the area. We were in the room with the clawfoot tub, which was an excellent way to relax after hiking. Everything was welcoming and clean. The massive closet was great for stashing all our hiking gear out of the way. Diane, the owner, had excellent recommendations on the best way to go about the hikes we planned and things to do around town. Depending on weather, you also get to enjoy a tasty breakfast either on the porch or in the beautiful kitchen. I would absolutely recommend this place to a friend and/or stay again!

We would give this place 10 stars if we could! The owner, Diane, was so friendly and welcoming, and our room was big and absolutely spotless. Every little detail was considered including coffee, water, fans, complimentary toothbrushes and toothpaste, extra bedding, Netflix, tons of towels, toiletries and more. She serves an excellent, creative breakfast on the back deck in the morning, so make sure not to miss it. And the absolute highlight is that she has the tiniest, sweetest little pup named Frank who greets you upon arrival and gives cuddles throughout your stay! The house is an easy 10-15 minute walk to great little shops and restaurants in the city centre.

The hotel is Diane’s home, and it is spotless! Diane does all the cleaning herself, and she does an excellent job (better than any hotel I’ve ever stayed at). Diane is very friendly and down to earth. She is 100% genuine at all times. There is something very refreshing about that. Anyway, she has a little dog named Frank, who is so sweet! Diane offered recommendations on where to eat and what to do during my day. She kindly let me keep my things in her space after I had checked out so they didn’t have to sit in my hot car while I hiked. I really loved the little touches in my room- a bottle of water and glasses, little chocolates, and fresh toothbrushes! This was so thoughtful and worked out beautifully, as I had forgotten mine. The breakfast was high quality and beautifully presented, though I would have liked some eggs or protein (it was mainly bread and fruit with a little cheese). Overall, I was happy with my stay and felt right at home. Thank you Diane!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Roanoke Boutique Hotel. The rooms are cozy yet modern. The proprietor, Diane, is very knowledgeable about the town and surrounding hikes. She also makes a fantastic breakfast. We will be staying there again on out next visit to Roanoke.
