Fr. Gary always celebrates mass wonderfully with a timely and humourous homily. It is always good to attend mass at St. Edward's when visiting my brother's family at Keizer.

Great Church, newly renovated. Focused liturgy and great experience on Good Friday! They have an afternoon service for Good Friday that is perfect for families with little kids!

I don't believe in church the doesn't help homeless people with shelters, you never open the door to help homeless people!

If you found my review helpful, please like it 👍🏼. If you have never been to Saint Edward Catholic Church at 5303 River Road in Keizer, Oregon, I would strongly suggest watching their livestream before becoming a regular parishioner. First and foremost, I would not suggest bringing a non-Catholic to the parish given the liturgy and the homily. I guess there's a demographic that would enjoy it but it doesn't evangelize to the hearts of men and women of good will who are discerning to become Catholic. Second, I would not bring anyone who have a weaker immune system or afraid to get COVID during this difficult time of the pandemic. Given that the priest and some Extraordinary Eucharistic Ministers didn't sanitize their hands before communion really concerned me. Moreover, several folks in the congregation took off their masks during Mass which further concerned me and the well being of so many of the folks. Lastly, during an announcement, the pastor shared that the congregation can seek an exemption by working with the Archdiocese of Portland for the vaccine by respecting "your opinion." This is such a disturbing statement on so many levels. After Pope Francis said that taking the vaccine is an act of love and a matter of goodwill, this is really contradictory on so many levels. Overall, I would not be returning and will not bring any friends or family.
