Very, very poor service! Arrived 10 min before scheduled appointment and was greeted by a sign in the parking lot to call & remain in your vehicle. This was odd, they didn't mention the parking situation when I made the appointment. We waited 45 min in the vehicle on a hot August day when I called them to inquire about the delay. I was told they had an emergency and it was 'all hands on deck' & 'you're next in line'. I'm glad the animal they were treating was getting the attention of the entire staff. However - it was very cruel for my cat to be confined in a cage, in a vehicle on a hot summer day. Never received any phone msg's or follow-up, so I guess they don't care. Anyway, taking my pet to a different vet office that shows a lot more compassion. Shame on this entire staff!

Santa Cruz has been our vet for many many years. Called to see if there were any openings today for an emergency. They replied they were full for the week but asked what symptoms we were having. Once I explained the problem, she put me on hold to talk to the Dr's. When she returned to the phone, she told me they opened a spot the same day to squeeze it in based on the severity of the symptoms. Thankfully all turned out well and Santa Cruz came through. Thank you very much.

They are so friendly!! They are patient. Didn't rush me. Let me ask questions both times! And I actually enjoy staying in the car while they take the puppy inside and bring her back :-) haha

The only negative reviews I am seeing are those complaining about wait times. Let’s talk about that for a second- because Santa Cruz definitely does not deserve anything less than a five star review. You all have to think that when COVID started, the amount of people obtaining pets SKYROCKETED. Santa Cruz, being as reputable as they are, gained a lot of new clients. Not to mention they aren’t a huge corporate chain like Banfield, where they can just pop up new locations to fit the demand of individuals who have pets and need a new vet for said pets. Be patient with them! Have some compassion, because they have all of the compassion in the world for your fur babies as well. Moving on to my personal experience, I have taken all of my angels to Santa Cruz for about 4 years now. I absolutely love Dr. B, Dr. Stanton, and Dr. Gordon. A special shoutout to Jane, Sarah, and Sandra who have always been so eager to help me. Just recently, I had to take my toy poodle in for an emergency, Sandra and Dr. Stanton got us in right away and they took such good care of my angel when she needed it most. I felt at ease knowing she was in the best care possible. Sandra kept me updated throughout the day, and Dr. Stanton called me a few times and kept me updated as well. I live almost 45 minutes from Santa Cruz, and would still never take my pets elsewhere. If you want a reliable, trustworthy vet, this is the place to go. They treat you and your pets like family. Thank you Santa Cruz, and thank you Dr. B, Sandra, Dr. Stanton, and the rest of the staff who all make sure our babies are happy and healthy.

No, they do not.
Their services are competitively priced for the quality you get. Routine services without insurance will be under $100 in our experience. Specialized care without insurance I cannot comment on.
