I drive from Plant City to go to Holloway's. I get the organic chicken feed and the big bag of chicken scratch for the ducks that walk over from both neighbors ponds. They built my chicken house, very sturdy, and well built. They always carry my feed to the car, and if I get my tank filled with propane, they put it in the trunk for me. They also sell milk, fresh eggs, pickles and honey. One of the employees gave me the best advice on one of my chickens that I thought was a rooster. -"if it looks like a rooster but acts like a chicken, its probably a chicken." My leghorn chicken looked like a rooster compared to my white Plymouth rock chickens..lol.

I have to stop buying here because of what I've witnessed and experienced. My biggest complaint is how the animals in the back are treated. Large tortiouses in a very confined space that want out badly, rabbits in wire bottom cages in the high heat with very little room to move around and with no hay all day long. A goat and horse in very little space pacing in circles (a stress response). I just rescued and found a home for a long haired rabbit that was in the same conditions here a few months back. His fur was matted and dirty and the sun was blasting him all day long. His teeth were overgrown because he didn't have unlimited access to hay to trim them down, and they sell hay here. This is a recipe for heat stroke and infection. Rabbits die fast in the heat, and they must have hay all day long to keep their teeth trimmed. There are three more long haired rabbits there again now in the same condition. You know the saying about how you treat animals. It says a lot. I asked the owner if the rabbits could be brought inside and he said "NO" without a second thought. I don't like writing poor reviews but I had to in this case. I'm sad this is the case as there is so much potential to show people the best way to care for animals here especially if you sell products to keep animals in good health. If you are going to have living beings you should treat them well. It is an uncomfortable place to purchase. There are so many other better options. I hope this helps make some changes there.

This is a great feed store! They always seem to be well stocked. The staff is helpful and always willing to answer questions honestly. When I was first getting started with my backyard chickens they answered my numerous questions patiently and honestly and gave great advice.

I have never been disappointed since I began purchasing products at Holloways. Joey is knowledgeable and helpful with all of our animals. I also like the fact that I don’t have to get my own products. His help, especially Max, are always helpful and courteous. Love Holloways!!
