I recently needed to bring my panther chameleon to the vet. Previously when I lived in Massachusetts, I had a negative experience with my veterinarian who came across very judgmental and condescending. I wasn’t sure what to expect with this new clinic, especially because I put a lot of pressure on myself to make sure my chameleon is in good health (as he is my sole responsibility). I can say confidently that this was one of the most pleasant experiences I’ve ever had bringing him to a vet clinic. First off, the entire facility was extremely well maintained and clean. The receptionists were very friendly and welcoming. Secondly, the vet staff, namely Dr. Jiminez and the vet technicians were SO KIND and understanding. I think they could tell that I was on edge, and they really put me at ease. They reassured me that overall, my chameleon was going to be treatable and they were extremely patient answering all my questions. Thirdly, chameleons are reptiles that are very easily stressed. For a chameleon who was already feeling sick, I was worried that bringing him in for an exam would just push him over the edge. In the past, his veterinarians wasted no time in man-handling him and grabbing him in a way that he obviously didn’t appreciate. Instead, the veterinarian and the vet techs went at his pace, and were so gentle. I was SO pleasantly surprised that they made sure to go slow enough so that he wasn’t completely overwhelmed. Going into the appointment, I was very apprehensive. Walking out, I can’t even describe the sense of relief I felt. I will 100% continue to use this clinic as his regular veterinarian. I could not be more impressed or thankful. They are experts at what they do and have incredible bedside manner. I hope they know how much I appreciated that.

I had a wonderful experience at VAC! I heard about the office through the FishHawk page after recently moving to the area. I took my cat for a basic wellness check. My cat has a watery eye, and has for years, and my past vet chalked it up to feline herpes. After sharing this with Dr. Allen, she asked me if I had ever checked for a blocked tear duct. In 10 minutes, Dr. Allen diagnosed my kitty’s issue that had been misdiagnosed for years!!!! I was in shock and completely grateful. I will be continuing to take my cat to VAC moving forward!

Best Vet we have seen thus car! Amazing staff, fit us in same day as a non patient when my vet was quick to send to an ER when I called first thing in the morning. Treated my dog so kind and gentle. Doctor herself even called the next day to check on him. We have just found our new permanent vet!

Bella had to have an operation to fix an incomplete spay from a previous vet, before we adopted her. The operation ended up being more intensive which entailed some renal issues…. And 10 staples to patch her up. Dr. Mercat did an excellent job, followed up several times. Our lil girl is a tough toy poodle who recovered quickly. Great staff!

The first office visit is $53.00 and the recheck is $25.00. The recheck use to be $34.00 and I'm glad that they have went down on it. I promise you that your pet/baby is in great hands with this establishment.
I have seen many small animals come in while I'm there. I've also seen reptiles. I've never seen a hedgehog in particular but I would definitely give them a call because I'm sure they would treat your baby.
I just know that they will treat or examine exotic reptiles such as leopard geckos and bearded dragons.
Give them a call. I've been going there for over 20 years. Previously for my cats but we now have an African Grey parrot. I always found the prices to be reasonable. The staff and veterinarians are great!
Very nice staff. Great doctors. Keep into consideration the size of dog , possible complications,, vacines, preesurgical blood work when you ask for quotes and it is best to call the clinic you are interested in going to.
I would recommend contacting them, but they are the best
The staff is awesome. Very welcoming to pets and parents of pets💓
Hi there! Exotic Exams are $58. With birds they do not require an exam to have their wings, nails or beak trims. That amount will range based on what the client would like done.
