Everyone we met who lives here in VA. at this very small and clean beach was very nice and welcoming. Very family friendly, and safer than the usually crowded public beaches.

Great view, but it's a small beach that can get crowded on holidays, and could use some improved parking and maybe a simple outhouse and trash receptacle. Apparently the state owns it, not the county.. better not trespass on the neighbor's beaches or show up after hours! And please clean up your trash and anyone else's; I don't know if it could happen, but we don't want to lose access to this!

What a treasure! Beautiful, uncrowded beach. Clean. Spectacular views of the river. The drive in feels as though you are headed to the ends of Earth. Our family of five loved it! And we, as parents, appreciated being able to park so close to the water.
