First time at a VA clinic. Was overwhelmed with service, knowledge staff, intelligence of doctor. Did not know what to expect and left pleased. Only trouble I see is phone staff is under staffed.

I was being seen at this clinic. I moved a few months ago and have been trying to get a new dr ever since. I have had nothing but the run around and when I sent a message to my care team received a VERY RUDE NASTY UNPROFESSIONAL voicemail from a nurse at the hillsboro Oregon clinic (which by the way I saved and will be reporting) a few days later with lies that the clinic in my new state has been trying to contact me. I've literally called the new clinic at least 5x since I've moved and the person who answers just yells at you when you ask questions is no help at all.. I am so fed up with the lack respect and the way veterans are treated. I have been begging for help and have not received it. So my mental health has seriously declined. Thanks a lot for nothing.

Apparently the scheduling department closes 30 minutes before the rest of the VA. That’s great. I wish I had known that. I need to see my therapist, and now I have to wait until Monday to try and make an appointment while I’m at work. Should be a fun weekend.

This is concerning the VA policy, not this clinic. I showed up 10 minutes early for my appointment like most half decent people do. After 30 minutes they put me in a room, after another thirty and my threatening to leave, the doctor showed up. He told me that it is VA policy to hold an appointment for 30 minutes if a patient is late after their scheduled time, and that the patient before me had arrived late. This is a policy? You screw over every veteran after the first one is late? How about asking the late person to "stand by" for the next opening? Yes, I believe the VA is run by clowns.

Usually in the past you would have one pcp at one clinic. They can mail your prescriptions out to you if you are a snowbird.
In the past they couldn't tie up multiple pop's for those who travel between service areas. Check with the local VA parent facility.
The VA Clinic at Fairview is for veterans and active duty or reservists/national guard only. It is a one story building
Parking is free and there is plenty of space.
Contact the VA if you are unable to travel due to low income or disabilities. There are discount passes for disabilities through trimet. www.lifebenefits.com/uv.
In the past you contact the parent facility and let them know that you are transferring your care to that clinic.
503 220 8262 is the main switch board.
